The following are the primary materials the Growing Dome is comprised of:


  1. Polycarbonate panels: 16mm thick, R-value of 2.8 / 0.68 solar heat gain coefficient / 0.78 shading coefficient. Impact-resistant; 200x  stronger than glass, 10x stronger than acrylic. Recyclable and  lightweight.
  2. Sienna wood framing: treated, measured, and cut by hand, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic, and long-lasting. *Western Cedar Redwood: is available as an upgrade package: non-toxic, aromatic, corrosion-resistant, durable, and naturally repels insects.
  3. Aluminum brackets and hardware: marine grade, and corrosion-resistant.
  4. Reflectix insulation materials: reflects 96% of radiant energy, fiber-free, and class A fire rating. Resists the growth of fungi, mold, and mildew. Non-toxic.
